How will the College Bound: Scholar Seminar Program maximize my child's college admissions chances?

From diving deeper into STEM & Social Science topics to critically engaging during seminar discussions, each component of the Scholar Seminar program is designed to help students craft their college application (i.e. academic / major interest(s); application essays; activity list; SAT / ACT Writing; college interviews; etc.) as well as enhance their application profile (i.e. college readiness; intellectual curiosity / stretch**).

Additionally, The Application Specialist will provide each student with a Profile Assessment & Strategy Report that evaluates their current application profile and recommends strategies to increase their college admissions chances.

** Intellectual Curiosity / Stretch: College Admissions Officers want to see students going beyond the classroom; diving deeper into their academic interest(s) outside of school

What does the Profile Assessment and Strategy Report entail?

The Application Specialist will create a Profile Assessment & Strategy Report for each student that assesses their current college application profile and recommends strategies to increase their college admissions chances. The Application Specialist will evaluate 7 key areas of a student's application profile (Grades / Transcript; Academic Rigor; Standardized Testing; Extracurricular Activities; Academic Interest Development; Letters of Recommendation; and College List) and provide custom and detailed recommendations to improve his/her profile to enhance admissions chances.

A meeting will be scheduled with the student and parent(s) for The Application Specialist to present and discuss the report.
